From customer requirement to scalable solution

1. Plan of action

We map out the challenge, stakeholders, scope, planning, investments and risks.

In doing so, we look at:

  • Client challenge and business objective

  • Stakeholders

  • Scope and priorities

  • Planning and milestones

  • Risks and investments

This provides a clear basis for the process.

2. Research

We onderzoeken de technische vraag, markt, gebruiker, toepassing en concurrentiepositie.

Deze fase kan bestaan uit:

  • Kick-off en field research

  • Life cycle analysis

  • User insights

  • Stakeholderanalyse

  • Competitor matrix

  • Requirements

Dit vormt de basis voor technisch haalbare, commercieel relevante en schaalbare productkeuzes.

3. Analysis

We translate insights into practical solutions and assess how well these fit with your organisation, market and supply chain.

We provide support through:

  • Ideation sessions and concept development

  • HMI concepts

  • Stakeholder feedback

  • CO₂ impact analysis

  • WOW factor and Kano analysis

  • Final design

  • Specifications and approval

This is how a workable concept is developed.

4. Develop

At this stage, we develop the concept from a technical perspective, focusing on functionality, manufacturability, assembly and scalability.

We provide support through:

  • Mechanical, software en electrical engineering

  • HMI en proof of concepts

  • Initial cost calculation

  • Design for Assembly

  • Technical design reviews

  • Customer approval

This way, we avoid problems during production and assembly and keep costs under control.

Want to refocus on your core business?

If it repeats, we're in.

5. Prototype

The prototype is being assessed for functionality, manufacturability, quality, cost and user experience.

We provide support for:

  • Procurement and assembly

  • Assembly instructions

  • Internal and external testing

  • Testing in the customer’s environment

  • Validation and approval

This will show whether the product is ready for upscaling.

6. Tooling

To facilitate the scale-up, we are organising the necessary tools, resources and processes.

This may include:

  • Assembly tools

  • Mould layout

  • Investment plan

  • Test equipment

  • Tooling validation and approval

As Menzing does not have a fixed set of machinery, we select the tooling and production method that best suit the product and the required volumes.

7. 0 series

The 0 Series marks the transition to stable series production. We test the product, process, supply chain and assembly under realistic conditions.

We provide support through:

  • Purchasing and validation of components

  • PPAP and MSA

  • Test reports and checklists

  • Assembly of the first batch

  • CO₂ impact report

  • Review and spare parts list

  • Handover to production

This is how we make the process predictable before we start handling larger volumes.

8. Deliver

In the final phase, we organise the handover to production, assembly, logistics and delivery.

This phase may consist of:

  • Assembly tools and assembly line

  • Batch delivery

  • SPC and CPK

  • Training matrix

  • Continuous improvement

Even after delivery, we continue to focus on quality, scalability and improvement.

Product management and project management as the common thread

Product management monitors customer needs, product value, specifications, scalability and ongoing development.

Project management oversees scheduling, progress, risks, communication and handover.

This ensures that product development remains manageable from the initial idea right through to serial production.

How will this approach benefit your organisation?

With this partnership flow, you are choosing:

  • Clear structure

  • Better coordination between stakeholders

  • Fewer risks during development and upscaling

  • Faster decision-making

  • Better alignment between engineering and production

  • Greater predictability in planning, costs and quality

  • Products ready for series production

  • Continuous improvement after launch
